Below you’ll find our self-catering cottages in Higham, Lancashire. Higham is a former agricultural village situated in the Lancastrian Borough of Pendle. It is ideally positioned between Burnley and Preston for everyone to enjoy the luxury of a cottage holiday with easy access to excellent shopping centres and with great transport links to nearby towns. The village is south of Pendle Hill, famous for its witch trials, and part of the parish is located within the Forest of Bowland area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The village retains much of its original charm with many of the properties in the village date back to pre-19th century, and the village centre designated as a conservation area. The Four Alls Inn is in the centre of the village (which is claimed to have four ghosts!) and the village also has a church, St John’s, which dates back to 1874.
