Kings Meaburn cottages
Kings Meaburn is a very small Cumbrian village, set in the Eden Valley, and provides a terrific location for exploring the Lake District National Park and Northern Dales of Yorkshire. It has also become famous for hosting The Eden Valley Beer Festival every July, which includes a long weekend of live music and real Cumbrian ales in the beautiful White Horse Inn. The village is just 5 miles from the historic market town of Appleby-in-Westmorland with its annual horse fair and beautiful Norman castle in the town centre. There’s plenty to see and do in the local area, whether you’re holidaying with the family or with friends. Why not visit the breathtaking High Force waterfall in nearby Middleton? High Force is England’s largest waterfall with its spectacular 70 ft drop! Explore the mines at Nenthead, located just 17 miles away, where you can learn all about the area’s mining history and even enjoy a guided tour down the mine. There’s also lots of local cycle trails and walking routes to discover close to the village, making it an ideal location for those hoping to get outdoors and enjoy the fresh countryside air.
