Festival on the Moor
It’s bank holiday weekend and there’s lots happening all over Yorkshire and Lancashire. The long weekend means there are a variety of festivals taking place and one such festival we can’t wait to get to is the Festival on the Moor.
The annual folk festival is a great way to spend the long weekend; it runs from today until Monday so it’s a great way to enjoy all your free time! The actual festival is held in the lovely village of Botton in Danby Dale, with concerts and activities taking place in the local school and the Joan of Arc Hall. The village itself has a great selection of amenities and it’s within an excellent location to explore the stunning North York Moors National Park!
The festival will not only include live folk music, there is also a variety of other things to see and do, including live poetry, guitar workshops, ukulele fun workshop, a bird walk, singing completion, drumming workshop and much more.
There is a variety of brilliant Folk artist playing at the festival with over 25 artists confirmed acts. Sadly dogs are not allowed in any of the festival venues so it’s best to leave your four legged friends at home, tickets are priced at £45 for adults, £40 for students or over 65s, children aged 10 to 16 tickets are £20. So make sure you get down to the Festival on the Moor and enjoy your bank holiday weekend to the full!
