What To Do This Valentines Day.

Valentines Day

Valentine’s Day is fast approaching and we know how painfully hard it might be to decide what to do with your partner, but for anyone staying in either Yorkshire or Lancashire we have a few suggestions to make the most unforgettable day (or week!) ever.

For those who fancy having the cooking and washing up taken care of by someone else, Yorkshire and Lancashire have a variety of top eateries to suit any budget, but for this blog we have picked just two:

1. The Black Swan in Helmsley create dishes that showcase Yorkshire, they take humble countryside favourites like Yorkshire duck and transform it into something truly unforgettable. For the 3-course evening menu it’s £36 per person.

2. Food by Breda Murphy in Clitheroe is a very intimate dining experience, based in the slightly unusual venue of a domestic red-bricked house it wouldn’t strike you as a restaurant. But don’t let that fool you, Breda has had amazing reviews for the outstanding food served.

Another great option is York’s City Screen Picturehouse they’re offering a wonderful night of food, cabaret and a screening of the Audrey Hepburn classic ‘Breakfast at Tiffany’s’. This won’t be like the average cinema date you had when you were 13, there is a mouth-watering three course meal included and the cabaret show is set to make it a night to remember. Tickets are £30 per person.

Earlier on this week we posted a picture of Aysgarth falls on our social media because it’s just so beautiful, in our eyes it is a must visit if you’re after the wow factor. Wrap up warm and admire the view, you could even brew up a nice batch of tea, pop it in a flask and take some yummy cake to tuck into whilst admiring the view. It doesn’t break the bank yet it’s as romantic as any three course meal.

The Harrogate Turkish Baths & Health Spa is another lovely place to visit, they offer a range of relaxation treatments and the baths date back to the 19th Century. Entry into these historic baths are £20.50 during peak sessions (Saturday & Sunday), this doesn’t include any addition treatments you may want during the visit but even If you just go in the baths you and your partner are sure to leave feeling totally relaxed.

For those of you who haven’t booked your accommodation yet, not to worry you can check out the beautiful cottages we still have available by using the 'Find Your Perfect Cottage' bar at the top left of the screen.
