Staying in the stunning Yorkshire Dales this Christmas?
Why not make the most of all the festive fun! Here’s a peak at what’s taking place around the region...
The beautiful village of Reeth is holding a ‘Medieval Christmas’ celebration on Friday 13th December at the memorial hall. It will be a great evening of carols, songs and stories that will entertain all ages, told by people in brilliantly authentic medieval costumes.
Keeping with the medieval theme is Barnard Castle which is just thirty minutes’ drive away from Reeth, the ruins are set overlooking the River Tees which creates the perfect backdrop for the crumbling castle.
For those who don’t fancy reliving the middle ages why not explore Reeth’s surrounding area and all it has to offer, from pony rides to mountain bike trails there is something to suit everyone.
‘The Buck Hotel’ is also a great place to stop and recharge after a busy day, with a wonderful selection of ales that gives you a real taste of Yorkshire and a log fire to keep you warm from the crisp winter air outside.
The Yorkshire Dales are renowned for the outstanding scenery, challenging walks, with lots to see and do all year round, if you haven’t already booked with us there is still a selection of cosy cottages available in December around the area, you can check them out here.
