Get Drenched!

Asygarth Falls

Because a trip to the Dales isn’t complete without seeing some of its splendid waterfalls!

Aysgarth Falls has to be the most famous. It’s been used as a backdrop for a number of TV programmes and films. It is also handily situated within easy reach of the A684, making it ideal for people who don’t want to trek too far across country to marvel at one of the Dales waterfalls.

The Ingleton Waterfalls walk is very popular. You do have to pay to get in to this area, but, it is well worth the money with three breath-taking waterfalls on offer! It’s really popular with visitors and is a beautiful trail to follow.

Other waterfalls the lookout for are Cote Gill and East Gill. Cote Gill is a little off the beaten track, but, is well worth the trip as it will certainly leave a lasting impression. East Gill is popular with families as easy access to the site is found on a well-worn foot path at the edge of Keld.

It must be said that the waterfalls are at their best after the rainfall. Not to say that mild weather doesn’t offer a beautiful sight for visitors. The waterfalls change with the seasons and offer a fresh site for each visitor to remember!
